Android Apps that every Blogger should use

Blogging is one of the major internet phenomena that allows people all around the world to write down their ideas, suggestions, knowledge and publish it to the world. Often times, any blogger requires the right set of tools to create and maintain a blog. Here I have compiled a list of essential apps in the Android platform that will make any blogger’s life easy.

WordPress:- WordPress is a blogging platform that allows users to create and run their own blog in their platform free of cost. The application allows you to create, manage posts in your WordPress blog. WordPress is reportedly the easiest and most popular website management or blogging system in use on the Web, supporting more than 60 million websites.
WordPress also provides a suite for developers to put in their code and have too many options.

The WordPress app has limited features but it always comes in handy to use whenever you might not be able to use your computer.

Blogger: –  Blogger is similar to the WordPress application but this app allows you to handle the blogger site that you have created. Blogger belongs to Google. Blogger App allow users to edit blogs anywhere through the app and either publish the blogs or save them as drafts.Users can attach photos by taking a picture with a Blogger app or selecting pictures from their photo galleries. Sharing current locations on posts is also possible by tabbing My Location bar and adding locations.

Users can also share photos and links directly to Blogger.

EverNote : – Evernote provides a single workspace to create, manage, present and organize notes in a systematic way. Bloggers don’t necessarily write down the content directly to the blogging site when they prepare the content for the first time. The app allows to add images, videos and audio to the notes. It includes presentation options directly to other people from the app.

This application is available across Web, Desktop and Mobile devices. The free option allows to use two devices and they are all in sync. This is a good solution to use where you would prepare your blog post before publishing.

Merriam-Webster: – Every blogger used to keep a dictionary handy. But nowadays, the trend has changed to google everything instead of using a separate application. But, in case if you prefer using a dictionary, Merriam-Webster would be a good option.

Smart Recorder: – Some people practice recording their ideas and thoughts that come in their might. For those people, a voice recorder application will for sure come in handy.

Medium: – This might be one of the cleanest blog hosting site that I have ever seen in my life. The simplest, cleanest UI makes it the best. This is one of the popular blogging. Pocket: – When you find something interest to read, and you want to view it later, its always better to put it in pocket. Pocket is a app that allows you to bookmark any site, article, post in a single application. It is available for browsers, mobile devices and devices like Kobo.

Pinterest:- Three words. CATALOGUE OF IDEAS. You want ideas, you go to Pinterest. It has everything from programming to grocery shopping. So, to improve your idea of a blog post, just pinterest it (not even sure whether it could be used as a verb) and you will find your way.

Dropbox:- This is the best file hosting platform out there. Dropbox is a US based cloud based file hosting platform/service which offers cloud storage, synchronization and client side management software. The Dropbox basic users are provided a free storage unto 2GB. The application is available for all the platforms including Web, Mobile and Desktop. The UI is simple, packed with features to manipulate files.

There are also many similar services like amazon drive, box, Google drive, IBM Connections etc., Dropbox could be used as a perfect place to keep your blog content like designs, screenshots, images, videos etc.,

Social Media Websites: – This is not a specific tool but a general idea for marketing. Social Media is the best place to market/grow/monetize your blog content. Sites like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, StumbleUpon, FlipBoard, Instagram and many more is a great place to share your content.
